CHIDO BIANCA
Cross-hatching life and painting it bold. Inspired by life and nature, fuelled by coffee and never bound to one medium. When I'm not drawing or painting, you'll find me buried in crosswords and deep into a true crime podcast (not just any though - it has to be Casefile).

About Me
I am a self-taught artist with a lifelong passion for creativity. From a young age, I've been drawn to artistic expression. It started with doodles, colouring books and eventually pencil portraits in my teenage years.
Although I chose a career far removed from my creative passions, I've recently returned to my art journey after a long hiatus (yes, I think of Hiatus Kaiyote every time I use this word).
Now I am exploring various mediums and techniques, currently focused on digital art and oil painting - because what's art without a good dose of experimenting?
I hope you uncover something that speaks to you and brings a sense of meaning and beauty to your space.

Digital Art
I'm currently using this medium to explore the female form, celebrating her beauty, strength and resilience. Recently, I've been focusing on the technique of cross-hatching to bring these qualities to life.
Inspired by Flora & Fauna, each piece in this collection is accompanied by a plant (flora), carefully chosen to enrich the story of each female form (fauna). This connection between woman and nature reflects the harmony, growth and resilience found in both.
Each piece is carefully hand drawn and meticulously rendered on my trusty Wacom Cintiq tablet, evolving through countless iterations and a fair share of "almost there" moments before the final version is perfected.

Oil Painting
I am currently using oil painting to capture everyday moments, translating them into still life studies that celebrate the beauty and simplicity of the world around us. More to come!
